In this new era of shifting cultural demographics and a shrinking white population, some heroes are gettin’ paid to be the Enlightened Whites. Unfortunately, too often this means repeating oppressive power structures but under the guise of altruism.

THIS WEEK’S VLOG might best be called the “Crazy Old White Guys Edition,” and while it’s not a topic I’d want to visit too often, these cats be jumpin’ the rails and thrusting themselves into the news cycle with all the grace of a cry for psychiatric help on broken rollerskates. So let’s focus our [...]

IN HIS STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS, President Obama speaks but “Thirty Eight Words” on Immigration Reform and judging from more than one source in the blogosphere, they weren’t extremely inspiring. Others were happy to hear immigration reform mentioned at all in the SOTU. But combined with the inaction so far on immigration reform, many activists and organizations are feeling daunted.
This week’s News With Nezua features interviews with some prominent activists (Prerna from DreamActivist and Mamita Mala from VivirLatino.com) as well as footage from the civil disobedience staged outside Department of Homeland Security HQ the night before Obama’s SOTU. Also, words on Joe Arpaio, and Howard Zinn. Dedicated to Luis Leal. And what’s this about an “Undocument”?
As always, News With Nezua appear first (Sundays) at La Frontera Times, and then on Wednesdays at UMX, in a dim viewing room here at The XOLAGRAFIK Theater, and for those who cannot play this format of video, at YouTube [Part One | Part Two ]
