I think you nailed it - Dobbs and his ilk took the fear of the attacks and, rather than meet it head-on with an effort to get to at the root causes of the attacks, simply projected that fear outward towards another group, a 'convenient' target - poor brown folks. I think you nailed it – Dobbs and his ilk took the fear of the attacks and, rather than meet it head-on with an effort to get to at the root causes of the attacks, simply projected that fear outward towards another group, a ‘convenient’ target – poor brown folks.
